A heartwarming true story about kindness, courage, and helping animals in need.

Louie the dog was being naughty at the bottom of the garden, or so it seemed. When his human went to investigate the loud barking, Louie led the way to a hedgehog trapped in the garden fence and in desperate need of help.

This beautifully illustrated picture book for children aged 3-8 tells the true story of how one determined dog helped save a tiny life. With illustrations inspired by real photographs, Louie's heroic moment is brought gently to life, making this touching rescue even more special for young readers.

Through engaging storytelling, children discover themes of compassion, empathy, and caring for wildlife. The story introduces young readers to the idea that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference, encouraging curiosity about the natural world and the animals that share our gardens.

Perfect for animal lovers, classrooms, libraries, and cosy bedtime read-alouds, this uplifting story celebrates friendship, bravery, and the importance of helping others.

As a fun bonus, children can find the hidden hedgehog on every page, turning storytime into an interactive game that encourages observation skills, focus, and repeat reading.
